Queens, NY - Two Under Arrest for Theft of 8 Sefer Torahs

Queens, NY - VIN News has learned that arrests has been made in connection [reported by VIN News] to the missing 8 sefer torahs from a synagogue in Kew Gardens, Queens.

The theft of the eight torahs - worth up to $400,000 - from a the Jewish Center of Kew Gardens Hills, donated to the synagogue over the last 67 years, was discovered last month during a Saturday’s prayer services.

NYPD of the 107 pct. Detective Squad, made the arrest of two people, and has B"H successfully recovered the 8 scrolls.

That should be Kew Garden Hills or Flushing, not Kew Gardens.

We are proud of our town and it is distinctive from Kew Gardens. We had the first eruv in NYC and have an acdus between the various shuls that is unparelleled in New York.
