Brooklyn, NY – Police in Williamsburg are hoping that surveillance footage or witnesses will help them locate a man who forcibly touched an 11 year old Chasidic boy as he waited for a bus Sunday morning on Flushing Avenue.

The incident took place at 9:23 AM as the unnamed boy was waiting in front of 551 Flushing Avenue just east of Lee Avenue, across the street from the Marcy housing projects. An unidentified Hispanic man groped the boy and then fled east towards Marcy Avenue.
Sources described the attacker as 5’6 inches tall, wearing blue shorts, white socks and a black jacket.
Detective at the 90th Precinct are continuing to comb security cameras for leads and are asking any potential witnesses to the incident to contact them at the Crime Stoppers hotline 800-577-TIPS.
What I’m about to write might be inflammatory, but the sad reality.
If the groper or molester were Hispanic then all the communities resources and elders would be for apprehending, prosecuting then long-term imprisonment for the perp.
However if the suspect were the principal of the yeshiva it will be hush-hushed, and suggested that the vic see a therapist for his devious imagination.
I guess word is out that abusers don’t get reported in that area.
Don’t be idiotic! If there were an equally clear video of a principal or one of ours acting the same, NOBODY would argue to protect him!
