New York – A Brooklyn mother has turned her teenage son into police, with the 16 year old confessing to groping a Chasidic boy in Williamsburg two days ago.

NYPD sources have confirmed that the teenager was being questioned for forcibly touching the 11 year old boy as he waited for a bus on Flushing Avenue on Sunday morning, as previously reported on VIN News.
Police released video footage of the incident obtained from a Flushing Avenue surveillance camera, as well as a posted bearing a screen grab from the video, and the teenager, who lives in the area, was identified from the images.
The 16 year old who has not been publicly named, and his mother came into the 90th precinct this afternoon, with the teen admitting his guilt in the incident a short time later.
Wow. That is some mother.
What a gut-wrenching moment for a parent. I can’t imagine having to walk your own child into a police precinct to admit to sexual assault. That being said, I commend her for having the courage to walk him in the door knowing full-well the horrors that she will face going forward. But, her son now has a chance to get help while he is still young so that he can try to have a normal life.
Maybe we should have this mother talk to some of our Rabbonim and askanim, it seems as though she is more ehrlich than many of them.
