Dairyland Park, NY - State Police said that a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Brooklyn man who police say stole two diamond rings from a Jewish summer camp.

Police said Timothy D. Best, 42, was stopped at night on Route 209 and was arrested and charged with DWI.

When police searched him, Best had in his possession two diamond rings worth $4,700, which police said he stole from Camp Rav Tov, Dairyland Satmar Boys Camp, on Martinfeldt Road.

Best was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies. He was sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.

I'm surprised no one has posted the obvious question; why are there diamond rings in a boy's camp?

These are boys ready to get married so i wonder why not more stone rings. On a serious note the Rabbeem have wives who used to wear those rings before they were stolen.

This happened to our family member. The couple stayed for shabbos after the camp finished. the wife the rings at the sink when washed for bread but forgot to put them back on right away. The must wonderfully part of the story is that the car was stopped because one of the headlights was not working, also tzedaka was donated for the Vaad Harabonim in that Zcus they were found.
