Queens, NY – Police say a man suspected of firing a gun inside a New York City bar was killed in a police-involved shooting after he fired at responding officers.

They say it happened after 9 p.m. Wednesday as officers responded to the Irish Hillside Inn in Jamaica, Queens.
Police say officers encountered the 30-year-old suspect as he ran out of the bar.
They say officers chased the man for several blocks during which the suspect twice turned around and fired at them.
Police say the officers discharged five shots. The suspect was hit in the torso, but it wasn’t immediately clear how many times.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He wasn’t immediately identified.
A weapon was recovered at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
