Rawlings-Blake made the announcement Friday afternoon, hours after the city’s chief prosecutor said they were charged.
“No one is above the law in our city,” Rawlings-Blake said. “Justice must apply to all of us equally.”
She also says she was sickened and heartbroken about the situation.
“There will be justice for Mr. Gray,” she said.
5 of 6 police officers charged in Freddie Gray’s death are in custody, mayor says.
Gray died one week after suffering a spinal cord injury in police custody. His death sparked outrage and protests in Baltimore and elsewhere
is she sickened that stores, car, other property was destroyed by thugs ????????????
“No one is above the law” except those THUGS that burnt CVS and other stores down, looted the city, etc. etc.
Let’s see them arrest all those thugs seen on videos LOOTING and DESTROYING THE CITY.!!!!!!
down with racism.
Oilom Hasheker!
this is true of all we see today.
Torah is the only thing that is constant and true.
We truly need Moshiach!
The way the Maryland States Attorney pronounced the names we are all going to have to contribute to the lead officer’s defense fund. It sounds like he is a yid and they are really going to go off on him
What does arresting the police who are charged with Freddie Gray’s death have to do with her attitude toward the rioters? Why can’t she be upset with both?
Why would vin readers justify brutality by cops? Imagine your Child makes eye contact with a cop and starts running and ends up dead, dosent they deserve justice?? Are police shielded and authorized to kill ppl?
This mayor and Obama both made public statements about “justice”. They are both ethically wrong. No one knows the facts yet, so no one knows what “justice” means. They tried it in Ferguson, when the grand jury investigated, and found no basis to indict the officer. That was justice. No one forced the conclusion – it was determined by the collection of facts, and there was no evidence of a crime. An unfortunate event is not always a crime, even if the victim is black. Repeat this last sentence, and blare it into the ears of these politicians who are more racist that anyone has been in US history, including the slave owners from prior to the Civil War. Here, too, there must be investigation that is independent from those who wish to predetermine the outcome. Obama and his gang should have zero input, and the same goes for the mayor.
I have no clue what happened to Freddie Gray, and all possibilities are of equal veracity to me. If there is criminal involvement, let the guilty pay. If not, those who will protest this with violence, looting, and arson should be shot on sight for being enemy combatants. Let the system work, and don’t judge by politics.
This is such a case of reverse racism! The black criminal element was just given a “gift” in reward for their criminal behavior, the indictments of police officers, just to appease this mob of criminals!
