New City, NY – Rockland County executive Ed Day is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.

His office says the cancer was detected in the early stage. It says Day’s prognosis is “excellent” and he does not expect any significant side effects.
He underwent a hospital procedure on Friday.
He’ll have a reduced work schedule for a while.
Day says his father died as the result of “unchecked prostate cancer.”
He urges everyone to have regular cancer screenings — especially people who are at higher risk for the disease.
i hope he pulls through and finishes the job and hopefully runs for governor one day, he fights the good fight.
