New York – A failed political candidate and Brooklyn Tea Party founder Joseph Hayon was arrested Thursday on charges of possessing and sharing child pornography.

The ultra-conservative Hayon, 37, admitted to authorities that he traded pictures of children between the ages of 2 and 12 in December 2014 via the email account [email protected], reports The New York Post (http://bit.ly/1Apuz7F).
A Cyber tip led police to search Hayon’s home in Midwood, where the child porn was found. According to prosecutors, police took two laptops, five desktops, a video camera, a Samsung cellphone and one DVD.
Hayon is also barred from having contact with his four children.
The former city council candidate’s campaign slogan was “Our children are our future” when he lost against Democratic incumbent David Greenfield in 2013. and also in 2012 lost against incumbent Helene Weinstein as a Republican candidate for District 41 of the state Assembly.
According to Hayon’s website, he works at a Jewish nonprofit, Pesach Tikvah, that assists special-needs children and adults.
Hayon has been released on $50,000 bond.

He’s an innocent dude that was framed. He never molested anyone.
The case here seems that he is not being accused of touching children. This is a much lighter offense than actually engaging children. I wonder what percentage of orthodox Jews are guilty for looking at all types of porn…He has to be punished for handling those pictures, but there has to be rachmanus on him too, I don’t think his name should be published.
