Benjamin Netanyahu said he hasn’t heard a word of condemnation from the world about three rocket attacks from Gaza over the past two weeks. The rockets did not cause any injury or harm but disrupted the quiet in southern Israel that has mostly prevailed since last summer’s war between Hamas and Israel.

“It will be interesting to see if this silence continues when we use all our strength in exercising our right to defend ourselves,” Netanyahu said at his weekly Cabinet meeting. “It should be clear: the hypocrisy that is sweeping the world will not chain our hands from defending the citizens of Israel.”

The Israeli military carried out an airstrike in the Gaza Strip early Sunday in response to the latest rocket attack from the Hamas-ruled territory. The projectile landed in an open area and there were no injuries or damage reported from the rocket attack or the airstrike.

A local jihadi organization that supports the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks. The group is mired in a struggle with Hamas and has said its recent attacks are in retaliation for a Hamas crackdown.

Israel considers Hamas responsible for any attacks that originate from Gaza, and announced Sunday that its crossings into Gaza will be shut down in response to the latest incident.

These rockets are hardly a weapon at all. In 2015, so far nobody has been killed. In 2014, 8 were killed and 60 injured. All of these happened after Israel attacked Gaza. In 2013 one person was killed. 2012, nobody was killed. In 2011, one In 2010, 13 people were injured.

Netanyahu spends too much time looking at his own naval. In the world’s scope of things, three rockets into Israel doesn’t qualify as anything important. It pales by long shot the numerous attacks on Saudi Arabia by the Houthis or the many attacks by ISIS in Syria & Iraq or the attacks in Afghanistan or the armed conflicts in Mexico by the drug cartels, etc. etc.
The fact that the world ignores Israel is something that the Israelis aren’t used to. Just be happy that the world didn’t issue major condemnations of Israel for having retaliated.

Hamas cracks down on suspected ISIS group in Gaza so in retaliation the suspected ISIS group fire rockets into Israel. Makes perfect sense to me.

Deafening silence as bombs fall; how’s that for irony?

To #2 -PaulinSaudi-Your brethren in Saudi Arabia recently completed a bombing campaign in Yemen; the Saudi Air Force stated that the bombing was directed against the rebel Houtis. Yet, the Saudis conveniently neglected to mention that over 700 Yemenite non-combatant civilians were killed, during their bombing. The latter number was far more than the civilians killed by the Israelis during the Gaza incursion, and bombing. Yet, there was not one peep from the world community regarding the civilians deaths, caused by the Saudis. I guess that when Arabs kill their own, it is considered acceptable. This is typical of the hypocrisy on the world stage, vis-à-vis Israel!

To borrow from the famous philosophical question: If a rocket falls in Israel and no one makes a sound, does anybody care?
