Washington – Author Reveals President Reagan Carried Pistol Outside Of White House

    Reagan would keep the pistol in his briefcase and took it on Air Force One, according to the Daily Mail (http://dailym.ai/1CfKFMM).

    It’s not known if President Reagan carried the gun before or after his assassination attempt in 1981.

    Meltzer learned of the details while touring of the Secret Service headquarters for research. When he found the car door from the limo when Reagan was shot, an agent told him about the gun the former president carried with him.
