Department store chain Macy’s Inc said on Wednesday it would phase out Trump’s line of menswear, while Comcast Corp’s NBCUniversal said it would not air his annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
Trump slapped a $500 million lawsuit on Univision Communications Inc after the Spanish language TV network decided to end its contract to broadcast the Miss USA pageant.
Responding to Twitter enquiries asking if Serta would “#DumpTrump”, the company said it would not renew its contract at the end of the year.
“Serta will not renew its contract at the end of the year and we will work with retailers to transition products by that time,” the company tweeted.
Privately held Serta currently has an agreement to sell Trump Home iSeries branded mattresses that are priced between $1,299 to $2,999.
Neither Serta nor Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, were immediately available for comment.
In a June 16 speech, announcing his Republican candidature for the November elections, Trump described migrants from Mexico to the United States as drug-runners and rapists.
His comments were criticized across the country with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio saying Trump’s statements were “disgusting and offensive.”
A record 93,626,000 Americans 16 or older did not participate in the nation’s labor force in June, as the labor force participation rate dropped to 62.6 percent, a 38-year low, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Yet everyone is busy with this nonsense.
Crazy P. C. world. Man speaks (the truth!) his mind (free speech??) and is severely criticized for it!!
SAD…
So happy all these companies are leaving.. They all claim to promote accepting all viewpoints and opinions and that they are accepting of all, UNLESS, it’s an opposing viewpoint. It’s time to separate the men from the boys.
Finally a candidate that can’t be bought off by (large) companies. Trump doesn’t need them or their money… Fantastic!
As others have pointed out in different threads here, you all would be singing a far different tune if Trump had made insulting remarks about Jews. At a time when the vast majority of Americans are becoming increasingly sensitive to bigotry and racism, it seems two groups are the big holdouts — the racist neo-Nazi extremist Right and heimishe frum Yidden. Something to be proud of, isn’t it?
And by the way, as far as his supposedly having “spoken the truth,” as some of our whistle-brained heimishe bigots keep saying — what’s the truth? That the vast majority of Mexican immigrants are rapists and criminals? If not for the thankless and back-breaking work the Mexicans do in heimishe communities like Boro Park, most Jewish businesses in those neighborhoods would be out of business!
And all those companies don’t believe in freedom of speech.then they should be boycotted and nobody should buy their product or go to their stores
The truth hurts….
LOL…Mr. Sentry …do u really believe the next Trump Hotel getting built and in need of 5000 mattresses you will not sell him?
The more these stupid companies cave to left radicals liberals the better Trump will do in the polls.
We must stand up to these liberal fascist.
#6 is 100% right!
Someone should give them all a taste of their own P. C. medicine. Let’s organize a reverse boycott!
And meanwhile all Hilary’s deceit and shameful behavior is being ignored while these liberal hypocrites malign Trump and Christie, who haven’t done anything nearly worn like Hilary,
