    Steven Peloquin, 52, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, turned in the sole winning ticket from a Mega Millions drawing last week and chose the cash value payout rather than a $153 million annuity, the Pennsylvania Lottery said.

    Lottery officials said Peloquin has spent nearly 30 years as a professional truck driver and was passing through the state for work on when he made the lucky purchase.

    The truck stop in Milton, Pennsylvania, that sold the ticket that will collect $100,000 for selling it.

    Peloquin’s win is the fourth-largest prize in Pennsylvania Lottery history.

    Peloquin, who through the lottery declined to be interviewed, told state officials the windfall will let him and his wife retire and spend more time with their family.

    He said he didn’t check the tickets online until late Saturday, then spent a night without sleep.

    The lottery calculates the odds of winning the multistate Mega Millions jackpot at about one in 259 million.
