“This is such an important decision that I will not let pressure, politics or party influence (me),” Schumer said Monday at a news conference in New York on gun control.

New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, a Jewish Democrat who is widely expected to be the next party leader in the Senate. Schumer, who hasn’t disclosed his stance on the deal, has faced intense lobbying from both sides, including the powerful pro-Israel lobby, American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Schumer said he has received around 20 briefings, including two classified sessions.

“This is one of the most important decisions that I’ll make, that any senator or congressman will make, and so I’m studying it really seriously,” he told reporters.

Asked if he had spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a fierce foe of the deal, Schumer declined to answer.

Another New York Democrat, freshman Rep. Kathleen Rice, said Monday she opposes the deal.

At least 44 Democrats in the House and 13 Democrats in the Senate would have to defy Obama and join Republicans in opposing the deal to get the two-thirds majorities in both chambers needed to override a veto.

Democrats who are Jewish or represent districts with large Jewish populations are being heavily lobbied. Iran has threatened to destroy Israel, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the agreement.

Rep. Sander Levin of Michigan, a prominent Jewish Democrat, backed the deal. New Jersey Rep. Bill Pascrell, who is undecided but leaning toward approving the deal, said a former Israeli general who used to lead Israel’s Labor Party visited his office and surprisingly urged him to vote yes.

I may be yelled at and ridiculed by the whole Jewish Population – but Mr. Schumer is stuck in that place called between the rock and,…. –
The bottom line whatever way he votes we as Jews are cooked – so I think he should vote as he feels what will affect the Jews here in America – If we lived in Israel – yes vote against it – but we live here and the Goyim will blame us – and the Apokores in the vasser bayis will be uber mad

Too late Mr. Schumer. If it takes you so long to realize this is a bad deal, you are no longer trustworthy. Whoever runs against you will get my vote. Good luck in your next career.

Schumer has been nothing but an Obama echo, never having decided anything for himself, except perhaps which trivial issue to serve as a basis to sponsor a bill. I don’t trust him, never did, and never will. There have been very few Democrats that have voted their conscience, or the will of the major constituency. They are strictly partisan and political, and that has contributed to much of the current disgraceful position of America. Sorry, Liberals, if my opinion gives you heartburn. But I cannot tolerate anyone arranging for the destruction of Israel, or the democracy in United States. That’s Obama’s agenda, and the imbecile politicians like Schumer will just affix their vote and signature to all of this evil. May they be voted out of public office.

Shumer has RARELY IF EVER helped or supported a Jewish cause or the State of
Israel; he deserves to be defeated in the next election.

Putin wants s strong Iran (Russian ally) in the middle east, and a weak Israel (American ally).

Anyone can see American influence getting weaker and Russian influence getting stronger in the middle east.

If this is all part of a larger plan to get other countries we are friendly with to step up, than Israel is merely the Korban.

He says before he announces, “After careful consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best deal possible and will vote to support it.”

How long will it take for this announcement, on camera of course?
