Reps for the New York City-based news and media gossip blog Gawker.com said on Monday that “fair is fair” and then released the cell phone number of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Trump aides confirmed Monday that hackers were able to access non-public pages inside Trump.com and post a tribute to comedian Jon Stewart.

Company officials describe the episode as a “non-event” and a prank that compromised none of Trump’s corporate information.

Separately, the New York-based celebrity gossip and media news website Gawker published a telephone number that campaign aides acknowledged was once used by Trump. They said he doesn’t use that number anymore and that Trump hadn’t “experienced any issues.”

Last month, Trump publicly revealed the mobile phone number of GOP presidential campaign rival Lindsey Graham.
