Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) attends a news conference on Amtrak funding on Capitol Hill in Washington May 21, 2015. REUTERS/Yuri Gripas Washington, D.C. – New York state Senator Chuck Schumer (D) and fellow Democrats who have expressed opposition to President Obama’s Iran deal are already feeling the backlash, as liberal advocacy groups are now pledging to pull back some $8.3M in donations from their collective war-chests if they, in fact, vote against the agreement next month.

HUFFINGTONPOST.com (http://huff.to/1Ef3z7e) reports that within 24 hrs. of Schumer’s announcement on Thursday that he would oppose the nuclear accord, over 17,500 MoveOn members had signed the pledge to withhold donations.

With the August congressional recess currently underway, a coalition of anti-war groups—including MoveOn—say they will be organizing a town hall blitz nationwide aimed at encouraging members to put pressure on their elected Democratic reps to side with Obama.

Nick Berning, MoveOn’s communications director, said that there will be “substantial political consequences” for Democratic party members who vote to “take us to war” by opposing the deal.

This article supports the suggestion that the United States is no longer a Democracy. When political votes are for sale or withheld for fear of monetary loss in our country, we are hypocrites if we accuse any other government of corruption.
When a president is appointed by the Supreme Court, our votes are meaningless.
We, the people, have allowed our democratic system to exist in name only.
The only good news is that the United States “government” is not likely to force a change in our country.

Democrats who OPPOSE this BAD DEAL should not worry about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ – they will be paid back by the One and Only Above who “really Controls” the entire world, not by the Libs who think they can intimidate with their $$$ signs

Firstly, Democracy means that you CAN use money to support candidates that you agree with; nothing wrong with that! Secondly, your snide reference to the Supreme Court choosing the president; yes, when you have a candidate who refuses to acknowledge his loss, and puts his interests ahead of those of the United States; the Supreme Court has to put an end to it & be the adult in the room.

The idea that voting against the Iran deal will “take us to war” is nonsense – and that is the nonsense that these left-wing groups and Obama have tried to fool the people with; they want to create fear where there need not be any. It is Iran with the deal, with money, more weapons and even an atomic bomb(s) that we really must fear.
