Boston, MA - A woman who fabricated a best-selling memoir about surviving the Holocaust by living with wolves has won a Massachusetts court battle with her former publisher.

A judge dismissed a lawsuit today filed by publisher Jane Daniel against Misha Defonseca and her ghost writer. He said Daniel had missed a one-year statute of limitations.

Daniel sued this year after Defonseca admitted she made up the story of her tortured childhood in her 1997 book, "Misha: A Memoire of the Holocaust Years."

Daniel argued that the court should overturn a jury decision that forced her to pay Defonseca $32.4 million in a fight over the book's profits.

1) The publisher made money; who cares if the story was "dimyoinus"?
2) What schmuck would believe a "raised by wolves" story?

this is a sensetive issue
*for all of those who went throught the holocaust its a shame and disturbing that she made up some story
*on the other hand maybe she she wrote things that did happen to someone (or many people from stories she heard)
*we read other made up stories by some great authors this may be in that same category

Every one wants to believe a story like that because they (we all) heard a similar story way back in our childhood. (at least this writer has!)

What is "Bezras Hashem" doing there? Did you perhaps want to write "Baruch Hashem"?
