The Edge  sent out a release late this afternoon that it's sold one of its "premier duplex penthouse residences" for $5.145 million, which would be the most expensive residential sale ever in Williamsburg and the sixth most expensive sale in Brooklyn.

The buyer, who is clearly not fazed by this meltdown twaddle is combining two penthouse residences "into a stunning 3,969-square-foot apartment featuring six bedrooms and six baths" Also, two roof decks and two balconies with 1,285 square feet with amazing city views. The previous Burg record was a $3.8 million combo unit sale at the Aurora on Karl Fischer Row.

The buyer is just spending his money which will be worthless when the world comes to an end anyway. Will he still own the condo then? I don't know.
