New York - Sheldon Silver Runs Chief Of Staff As Proxy In Continued Attempt To Wield Power Over State Judiciary
New York - Following an unsuccessful bid to get himself on the ballot for a delegate’s seat at this week’s upcoming judicial convention, former Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver is still attempting to wield his power over the state judiciary by running a proxy, his Chief of Staff, Judy Rapfogel.
NYPOST.com (http://bit.ly/1g3UKaf) reports that Rapfogel’s name was placed into nomination by Silver’s Harry S. Truman Democratic Club for the vote which is set to take place on Thursday.
Rapfogel, who has maintained a public silence on both her William Rapfogel’s conviction on theft of about $9M from the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and Silver’s indictment on fraud and extortion charges, rakes in over $180,000 annually as Silver’s chief of staff.
