Jerusalem - “Shaye, go upstairs to the throne and say to the Almighty, this is enough!”

This was the cry heard by thousands of people who converged on the Bais Yisrael neighborhood in Jerusalem to pay final tribute to a prominent and beloved rabbi, Yeshayahu Akiva Krishevsky, 59, whose was brutally run down today by a Palestinian terrorist while waiting at a bus stop. Rabbi Krishevsly will be laid to rest today in Har Ha’Menuchos Cemetery.

According to eyewitness accounts, after driving his car into the waiting crowd at the bus stop, the terrorist from East Jerusalem then exited his vehicle and proceeded to further attack the wounded, including Rabbi Krishevsky, with an ax. A security guard is being credited with critically shooting the terrorist and saving many lives.

“He was God-fearing, careful about both the simple and difficult mitzvot, and was connected heart and soul to the Grand Rabbi from Pinsk-Karlin,” his friend said about him this morning, as they received the bitter news of this cruel attack.

Born in Jerusalem, Rabbi Krishevsky belonged to the Pinsk-Karlin chassidic sect. His father was Ha’Gaon Ha’Rav Reuven Krishevksy who was the rabbi of the Etz Chaim neighborhood. He was a known Talmud chacham in the yeshiva of Kochav M’Yaakov. Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky was the author of a noted sefer on Torah, Jewish holidays, and Pirkei Avos entitled P’ninei Yeshayahu.

Those who knew Rabbi Krishevsky said he never made a bracha or even recited the Asher Yatzar prayer without ensuring there were people around him to answer amen. He was also very careful to never speak during davening.

Rabbi Krishvesky leaves behind a son, Schneuer Zalman, a Chabad chassid who resides in in Bnei Brak.

Meanwhile,  A video account has emerged showing the shooting of the terrorist by a security guard after the attacker crashed his car into the Jerusalem bus stop and murdered Rabbi Krishevsky while injuring another man.

Tthe video shows the terrorist, Alaa Abu Jamal of Jabal Mukhaber, regaining his footing with a knife still in his hand following his initial attack and then being shoved towards a wall by a pedestrian, after which he is shot by the quick-thinking security guard.

Seconds later another shot is heard as the guard and pedestrians huddle around the terrorist.

As the videographer narrates what is taking place, additional shots are heard once border police arrive on the scene.

Bibi is doing the best possible job. He should immediately take forceful action against any Jewish extremists going up to har habayis that is one factor provoking these attacks. He should also freeze settlements until the situation is stabilized. Its not rewarding terrorists; its avoiding actions that are 100 percent certain to result in the shedding of Jewish blood.

Maybe it is time for all the people to take care of themselves instead of relying on the government, for it appears the government is too busy bowing to other countries and the UN so they won't be called dirty names. Life is above all things self reliant and community cohesiveness is the only way for survival now.

You are a big fool if you think that. Do you honestly believe that if Israel prevented any Jews from going to Har Habayis and stopped construction in Settlements the Arabs would all of a sudden love you and not want to kill you? These are all pretexts and excuses they are making up just to be able to say that Israel is the instigator. Anyone with half a brain knows better.

Well, they certainly wldnt love but weve aleady enjoyed relative calm. The settlrs have gone way too far And are seen as occupants of their land. If you do believe it or not this is the fact now. And going up to the Har habayis is also ABSOLUTLY the cause of this terrible situation. It was too little too late for Bibi to ask the MKs not to entr the holy mount. The damage was done. The muslims feel threatned by Israelis and are ready to kill. How to stop this carnage is anyones guess. Give them back their land!!!! It is only OUR land when mashiach comes. The Zionists are responsible for EVERY jewish soul lost. Well, we cant b guaranteed a perfect solution. That will only b when Mashiach comes(if any1 there still believes in it) but u can buy pepper spray all u want, arm urself... These are not conventional killers. Theyre subhumans. They wont stop this carnage until heavy commitments are made. And yes, too bad, commitments to the terrorists. Or we can have this g d forbid continue. People, wake up!! Its not caving in! Wow aren't you easy to fool! So this time the har habayis is their excuse for murdering innocent Jewish men, women, and children? What was their excuse for the last 1500 years? They've proven themselves throughout history to be nothing but a bunch of sick, perverted savages who only understand bloodshed - exactly like God testifies about them in His Torah.

I am not sure who posted about the arabs in the past 1500 years but they are dead wrong. Reality they were on good terms under Ottoman empire rule. Israel needs to close the har habayis for good, at least for awhile. We can't go there anyway and the arabs should be punished. As far as settlements the land is ours and it should never stop. We can wait for har habayis when moshiach comes. In the mean time these animals to be hung, not shot. Its a different psychological death. Being executed after all the adrenaline subsides will deter any animal (unless their on drugs).
I am not sure which shiur I heard this in but in Russia apparently there is no coverage for car theft insurance. The penalty for stealing a car is 15 years for the first offense and if the person is dumb enough to do it again they get death by firing squad.
Israel should implement similar laws to protect themselves.
