Yankel Rosenthal agreed to the move at a hearing Tuesday. Rosenthal, head of the Marathon soccer club and a former Honduran government minister, was arrested last week at Miami International Airport.

The indictment also names businessman and former Honduran presidential candidate Jaime Rosenthal, uncle of Yankel Rosenthal, and Jaime Rosenthal’s son. The U.S. Justice Department accuses the Rosenthals and others connected to their sprawling Grupo Contintental company of laundering money for Central American drug traffickers.

The Rosenthals deny the accusations. The timing of Yankel Rosenthal’s removal is not clear.
