Jerusalem - Despite the recent rash of terror attacks in Israel, the head of Jerusalem’s Eida Chareidis urged his followers not to make any attempt to hide their Jewish identity.

Speaking to his students, Rabbi Moshe Shternbuch stressed the importance of being dressed as a Torah observant Jew.

Rabbi Shternbuch recounted the story of Rabbi Moshe Schneider who during the second world war insisted on walking the streets of his hometown in his rabbinic dress. Despite the dangers involved, Rabbi Schneider grew his payos longer so that it would be apparent to all that he was a practicing Jew, as reported by Israeli news site Ynet.

“In this time when G-d’s presence is hidden, when thousands of Jews are being flung into the figurative furnace of fire, there are thousands that react in shock and ask ‘Where is G-d during this time?’, resulting in a chilul Hashem,” said Rabbi Shternbuch.  “Therefore it is fitting to go about in public, dressed as a Jew, with a beard and with payos, as a public announcement that Chareidi Judaism is alive and well and that Jews are not embarrassed of their identity, but even more so, they are proud to display their heritage and their Judaism and to continue serving Hakadosh Baruch Hu.”

Rabbi Shternbuch also blamed the recent wave of attacks on those Jews who have gone up onto Har Habayis.

“That handful of people who go up on Har Habayis will be held accountable for this, because they are causing the Yishmaelim to kill Jews,” said Rabbi Shternbuch.  “They are also causing this to become a religious war because Har Habayis is considered a holy place for the Arabs.”

At the nearby Diaspora Yeshiva located on Mt. Zion just outside the Old City, learning goes on, albeit with a hefty measure of caution.

“We have our fingers on the pulse of the situation, looking to the right and the left, and continuing on,” said a yeshiva spokesperson.

Rabbi Shternbuch is a million percent correct about the Har Habayis.
Right wing religious Jews are provoking murderess Palestinian maniacs. This has been the motto of Zionist all along.

In fact there is a free translation of a Yiddish transcript of a taped interview made
many years ago with the late Rabbi Boruch Kaplan, who was a principal of the Beis Yaakov Girls School in Brooklyn, and who was a student in the Hebron yeshiva in 1929 at the time of the killing many Jews by Arabs. Rabbi Kaplan explains how events unfolded, and how it was the arrogant and cowardly Zionists who perpetrated the events by provoking the Arabs. He also adds some comments about events at the time he recounted this story, some 30 years ago.

It is urgent for every sane Ehrlica Yid to listen to what Rabbi Kaplan had to say which is repeating itself these days.

This is purely an attempt to eradicate us. Look at the whole middle east . Do you really think this is not connected to what is going on in Syria etc.

Yeah those peace loving Arabs in 1929 objected to Jews praying amidst the garbage dump that was the Kosel. It was all the Zionists fault. Everything is including the Holocausts.

Why don't you go back to Germany or Hungary because you're too ghetto for Eretz Yisrael.

Sorry. But I have a real, real hard time swallowing the idea that Jews should be blamed for being stabbed, run over or shot. If you think it is humiliating for them that Jews enter the Temple Mount, understand that the very presence of Jews in what they consider the ancient caliphate is an affront to their senses. Until the Israel is Judenrein, (God Forbid!) they will continue to be humiliated by a Jewish presence.

It is really unnerving to see this Arab propaganda being mouthed by Jews. Can those who agree, please explain then, how over 200,000 Syrians were murdered by their own brothers, or why ISIS rapes and kills innocent people all over the middle East or the train bombings in Europe, the beheading of journalists, etc, etc, etc. Ad Nauseum.

The Arabs teach their children to hate, to kill and to love bloodshed. When they will stop teaching violence, and start teaching the value of life and humanity, this will stop.

Until then, expect more of this.

You're exactly right! The Temple Mount issue is only their excuse of the day....what about when their excuse was Israeli "settlements?" What about "frustration over no Pali state?" What about Gaza? It's all baloney.

Now when we need achdut more than ever, you and your ilk are once again pointing a finger at bother Jews instead of at the Jew haters.

The Bais Hamikdosh was destroyed because of sinas chinam and the cure to bring the geula is ahavas chinam. Although most Rabbanim forbid going on the Har Habayis, would it be considered as ahavas chinam to accept that some have differing views and to daven to Hashem that we accept that others have differing opinions and that He should bring the geula and put an end to this madness. Should we be condemning our.fellow Jews or take a lesson from Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev and judge our frllow Jews on the side of merit?

So since Jew haters don't need a reason to hate and attack Jews, so you might as well instigate them to hate and attack us even more? And regarding your worry about achdus, so according to your opinion the rabbis should just shut up and let a few troublemakers do whatever they want? And finally you should wake up and realize that Zionism is THE main cause of antisemitism today

Wow, and here I thought the Arabs were to blame for massacring Yidden. I'm glad this courageous anonymous gentleman has added his wisdom to the internet, so his brilliant analysis can be shared by anti-Semites worldwide.

Also, I never realized that the Zionists were cowardly. I guess the cowards who rescued hundreds at Entebbe were cowards, as were the thousands of Yidden who gave their lives in battle at Latrun (many of which were survivors), in the battles for independence, at the Mitla pass in 1956, in climbing the Golan Heights in 1967 (many of the Golani soldiers who climbed up straight into Syrian machine gun nests were Sefardi 'cowards,' not worthy enough to marry into heimishe families, I suppose), in the almost suicidal defense of the Sinai and the Golan (where tanks were outnumbered 30 to 1 at some point), and the list goes on.

Who is really a coward?
