West Bank – A Palestinian gunman opened fire on Friday, killing an Israeli father and son as they were driving in the West Bank and wounding at least one other person in the car, Israeli officials said, the latest in a nearly two-month rash of violence and almost daily Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers.

Eli Bin from Israel’s emergency services said the shooting attack happened in the afternoon. The two dead Israelis was a man in his 40s and a youth of about 18 years of age. Israeli media reported that the attack happened near the city of Hebron and that the two were father and son.

The fatalities have been identified as Ya’akov Litman and his son, Natanel.

At least one other person, a teenager, was wounded in the same attack, Bin said. Israeli media reported that at least two Israelis were wounded and taken to hospital.

The military said the “terrorist fled the scene” after the attack and that troops were searching the area.

Israel media reported that a Palestinian man opened fire from the side of the road at a passing car, killing the two Israelis. Channel 2 TV aired footage from the aftermath of the attack, showing a crashed car by the side of the road. Media said there were seven people in the car, members of the same settler family living in the West Bank.

The reports said they were on their way to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath when they were attacked. A bouquet of flowers splashed with blood, was found in the car, it said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement expressing his condolences and vowing to hunt down the attackers. “We will find the despicable murderers and bring them to justice as we have in the past,” he said.

Hamas, the Islamic militant group that rules Gaza, praised the attack but stopped short of claiming responsibility for it.

How much more Jewish blood will it take for the weak and over his head Bibi to either step down, take down his Marxist defense minister or do something like closing ALL movements for Arabs until Jewish can live in peace. Jewish lives matter.

Jews getting shot in the modern state of Israel with one of the best armies in the world? What nonsense. Kahane was 1000% right. How dare we Jews accept this after the germans and their freinds shot and gassed so many. It is time to close down the mosques and deport anybody who dares talk about harming a jew in the land of Israel. The parents are responsible if they bring up their kids to hate us. It is not collective punishment to go after the extended families of these murderers. they are all one big gang of evil muslim nazis.

Those who live in the West Bank, do so knowing the dangers. Many follow the shitta of tzvi yehuda kook who said it is permissible to put lives in danger to settle the land as it is a milchemes mitzvah. They foolishly bring their families into a war zone and believe that they are soldiers acting on behalf of the aschalta de’geulah. Not really so innocent. Very, very sad.
