Brooklyn, NY - Teens Arrested In BP Egg Throwing
Brooklyn, NY - Less than a week after two Chasidic men were pelted with eggs in Borough Park, a pair of suspects have been arrested by the NYPD.
17 year old Gino Zlado of Staten Island and 18 year old Barry Demetro of Sheepshead Bay turned themselves in at Manhattan’s 7th precinct yesterday morning at 9:45 AM. Both had legal representation when they arrived at the precinct.
Police said that they could not say if any anti-Semitic words were uttered during the incident. Both teens were charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon.
The egg throwing took place on November 14th at 2 AM in the vicinity of 13th Avenue and 46th Street. Police said that they could not say how many perpetrators may have been involved in the incident.
The victims were able to take down the plate number of the escaping vehicle and handed it over to investigators. Police were also able to obtain surveillance video of the attack.
