Staten Island, NY - White Gang Reacts To Obama Win By Beating A Black Muslim Teen |

Ali Kamara, 17, told police he was walking home at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, when four white men leaped from a car and attacked him.
"I see the car coming. They looked at me and said, 'Obama!' They were not happy. They had hoodies on. They started hitting me with bats and my body started vibrating," the Curtis High School student told the Daily News.
Kamara managed to break free of his attackers and jump over a neighbor's fence, eventually making it back to his Stapleton home.
"I was bleeding all over. I did not know them," the teen told the News. "I think it was a racist crime."
An NYPD spokesman said the department's Hate Crime Task Force was investigating the incident as a bias crime.
Kamara's mother, a health care employee, got a frantic call from her injured son while she was at work.
"He was whispering, 'I'm bleeding. They beat me with a baseball bat. I'm dying. I'm dying.' I was so worried," his mom Janeba Ladepo, 36, told the News.
"My son does not deserve to get hit like this. For someone to say Obama and hit him, it sounds racist," she said.
The family moved to the Island from Liberia in 2000.

Sorry...don't believe it. It's too convenient. He probably got in a fight & didn't want to tell Mom. Now if he said he was shot by a bullet fired from a gun of a celebrating Black in Brooklyn, I'd believe it. I was listening to the gunshots Tuesday nights.

If true this is a terrible story and not the way we are supposed to do things in the USA. I hoped for a McCain victory but freedom rang the other way. This type of reaction is unacceptable in America.

Leah, the fact that Barack Obama was elected with a land slide, proves that there is no more mainstream Racism. No one refutes that the KKK ever existed, or that racism still exists. But to cry foul!

Let's not forget that Staten Island is the only borough in NYC that McCain actually won. Maybe he has some ovezealous sore loser fans amongst his strong supporters in Staten Island that couldn't accept defeat. I hope they catch those hoodlums and put them away. Do incarcerated citizens have the opportunity to vote or is that privilege revoked?

If true--this incident is a disgrace. Nevertheless, it cuts both ways...I'm a white male currently residing on Staten Island and was bicycling home from work, riding through a route that took me through the same area where this incident allegedly took place. I was challenged by a group of black teens who demanded to know if I voted for Obama or not. I happen to have reluctantly preferred Obama to McCain, but I don't think the kids who shoted at me "YP! You vote for Obama!?" were asking me out of curiosity & to engage me in a friendly political discussion. They saw a white face riding a bike through "their" neighborhood, and there was only one correct answer to give about how I voted in their eyes. I kept on cycling faster.

Obama did NOT win by a landslide! 52% to 47%. 70/30 is a landslide! even 60/40 may be, but 52/47 is very close!
