Jerusalem – The Knesset late Monday approved the second and third readings of a bill which effectively postpones a previous law mandating ultra-Orthodox conscription into the IDF.

The new law was voted in by a count of 49 in favor and 36 opposed.
Likud MKs Sharren Haskel and Yoav Kisch did not take part in the vote.

For the record under the new law anyone over 24 can work with no army service at all. So why aren’t the guys working? Because really this has nothing to do with the army. Its a cop-out. In reality anything secular outside yeshiva is chazor trief. The army was an excuse to cover up the Israeli misconceived anti-torah hashkofos.
