Speaking a day after Turkey shot down one of Moscow’s jets, Putin said:

“The problem is not the tragedy we witnessed yesterday,” the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.

“The problem is much deeper. We observe … that the current Turkish leadership over a significant number of years has been pursuing a deliberate policy of supporting the Islamisation of their country.”

Putin also said that an S-300 air defense system would be sent to Russia’s air base in Syria, Interfax and other agencies reported. The Defense Ministry said earlier on Wednesday that Russia would send an S-400 system to the base.

In a separate statement to agencies, Russia’s Defense Ministry said that the second pilot of the downed SU-24 jet was safe and had returned to Russia’s air base in Syria.

He is right. Its time to rethink this whole NATO thing. Erodegan is an extremist anti west dictator. Why is Turkey still under NATO? And yes we should make peace with Russia despite our disagreements. At the end of the day does Putin seek our destruction? No. He just wants Russia to be a world power. Has Putin vilated any human rights in Ukraine? Are the Russians beheading the rebels and rapping innocent women? Are the Russians sending loads of people to the golug in Siberia like years ago? So why do we care so much? Its time to make peace with Russia which will strengthen both our countries in this crazy times.

“Putin says….” and what is new about this? Did he not watch the events of the “peace flotilla” to Gaza and Turkish tensions wirh Israel? I guess it does depend on whose ox is gored – ask the French, the Flemish, the Malians, and all other recipients of Islamic fundamentalists’ gifts to humanity.

whatever the case may be,Putin is calling out Turkey for what they are,Islamist and anti-WEST and should never have been allowed into NATO in the first place.

Hopefully he will orchestrate something to get Turkey into trouble and get rid of their leaders who are trying to take Turkey backwards into the 17th century
