NYDAILYNEWS.com (http://bit.ly/1IC5Pxe) reports that a clearly angered Bratton told gathered reporters at a Tuesday press conference with Mayor de Blasio at the Nasdaq building in Times Square, “If you’re gonna make (that kind of allegation) stand up, be a big man. Let him back up that allegation. Shame on him.”

Kelly fired the first shot in the war of words during an interview scheduled to be aired in January for AM970, saying that the numbers Bratton has released about shootings in the city need a closer look.

Appearing in support of his book “Vigilance: My Life Serving America and Protecting its Empire City,” former commissioner Kelly told on-air host, city employee union head Gregory Floyd, “I think you have to take a look at those numbers … because I think there is some issues with the numbers that are being put out. I think there is some redefinition going on as to what amounts to a shooting … that sort of thing.

Kelly needs to be the commissioner again and then we’ll get the real stats on crime.

I lean towards believing ex Comissioner Kelly. I’m afraid that Bratton although a good cop has caved into the demands of the so called Progressive Mayor.
