Atlanta, GA – Donald Trump was declared the winner in Georgia, according to network news projections, the first results in a Super Tuesday slate of delegate contests that could set the stage for the end of the Republican presidential race.

Races remained too close to call in Virginia and Vermont, two other states where polls closed at 7 p.m. ET. Marco Rubio appeared to be close to Trump in Virginia, while John Kasich battled the billionaire front-runner in Vermont.
Polls remained open in other Super Tuesday states, including Texas, where Ted Cruz faced a must-win contest in his home base.
