New York - Clinton Statement on Indian Chabad Massacre |
|
New York - My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families touched by these acts of terror in Mumbai. We still do not know the full measure of this tragedy, which has taken the lives of Indian citizens, Americans, and others who had traveled to Mumbai from around the world. Two New Yorkers, Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and Rivka Holtzberg of Brooklyn are among those who have died, leaving behind their young son. The young couple had traveled from Brooklyn to manage a small Chabad house, welcoming Jews from India and elsewhere to learn, pray, and serve the community.
There could be no sharper a reminder, nor a more poignant call to action, than the brutal and heinous violence visited upon the Nariman House and the Holtzberg family, living and working in Mumbai on a mission of peace, scholarship, and spiritual guidance.
As those responsible are brought to justice, as we aid and support the victims and their families, as we work to defeat radical extremism and the terror it spawns, let us find strength in knowing that in the face of those who seek to take lives, there are those who seek to give hope and comfort. In the face of those who wish only to destroy, there are individuals like Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and Rivka Holtzberg who travel great distances far from their homes to build a better world.”

Hillary was always on the side of Hillary.
Anyone remember Hillary embracing an\d hugging Suha Arafat when she (Arafat) finished her speech falsely accusing Israel of using chemical weapons on Palestinian's?
If she needed the Muslim vote more than the Jewish vote, I have no doubt where her sympathies would be.

Hillary helped Holtzberg's parents get their passports, within an hour, on thanksgiving, when everything was closed. She's also the first politician to say something.
I did not vote for her but hakoras hatov is an important attribute. Give credit where credit is due.

There is a time for everything. Now is the time for Hakoros Hatov, a Jewish middah. Let's not delve into her motives than only G-d knows. Remember, she is our next Secretary of State.

These people do not merit facing justice in any earthly court Ms. Clinton. While talking always is the best policy except in the face of evil.
When you are Secretary of State, Madame Senator please do not waste your time and energy engaging in diplomacy with these enemies of civility and decency.

A seasoned politician such as Hillary can "cry" on cue. Bill Clinton was caught off guard in one situation where common decency would have dictated "crying", but he was laughing until he realized the camera was turned on, and quickly went into tears.
If Hillary was able to speedily get those Passports that were needed then give her the credit due, but remember good politicians are also good "actors"

Well said....and now President Obama wants her to be Secretary Of State...give me a break...he should send her as abassador to some small 3rd world country...give her a title, get her out of NYS and be rid of her.

Yes, she did something dumb. Inexcusable. Something for which she probably (tried hard) came up with justifications. However, that was ONE thing.
On the other hand, she has helped COUNTLESS frum organizations and people. She has played a primary role in securing FORTUNES of grant money for Jewish organizations. She has been involved with many instances of positive legislation for the frum community. Whether she is doing it for Hillary, or for Hillary, or for us - almost doesn't matter. If she is repeatedly and CONSISTENTLY coming out on our side - an intellectually honest individual must recognize that.

It is amazing to see how people think,
When a person is great to us yiden living here in the us instead of applauding and respecting that person we always find ways to knock them cause of issues that have to do with israel,
We don't live in israel we live in gulis,
She has been great to all issues and problems we have, she has gotten big grants for yidesha mosdis,
We care about these issues, who ever cares avout israel can move there,
She will do a great job,and will work to protect israel cause she likes us,
So did her husband as president

I am a registered republican and was a strong mccain and Bush supporter but I am shocked by some of your statements. First of all Obama is our next president and we must respect him and daven that he does the right thing. Second Clinton is a great friend of the Jews and even if she wasn't we must show a respect for our leaders. And lastly I breathed a sigh of relief that she was picked and not one of Obama's friends with much more radical and anti-semitic jews.
to keep bashing clinton and obama is a huge chilul hashem.
