Westchester County, NY - The man who reportedly is at the center of a federal investigation into New York City police corruption was suspended Tuesday as a chaplain for the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.

As reported earlier today, the FBI launched an initial investigation into high ranking NYPD officials who had close connections with Jewish NYPD chaplain and businessman Jeremy Reichberg, a prominent Jewish activist in Borough Park.

The Journals News is reporting, after learning of the probe Westchester County police Commissioner George Longworth wrote to Reichberg Tuesday, suspending him as a chaplain pending the outcome of the federal probe.

Reichberg has held the volunteer Westchester police chaplaincy since June 2013.

You can smell the fish when a Hossid joins a police force to be a "chaplain." Logical question would be why any police force would need a Hassidic chaplain when percentage of religious Jews serving in police departments is 000000.1%. Most Jews in government service are educated and come from Reform, Conservative and sometimes M.O. communities.

The reason why they want an orthodox chaplain is because they obviously want someone who is Jewish and knows something of Judaism. Not someone like you or those who you are so enamored of.

If you would've known your math you might have stayed a traditional yid. Adding zeroes before the decimal doesn't change the percentage. BTW, I agree with #2.

With gods help one day you will get stumped with the law and you won't have anyone to help you out.
This Riechberg is a lovely jew who helped hundreds with so many different things.

Living in Boro Park, he probably needed a police parking placard to put in his window so that he can illegally park anywhere.

In most heimeshe circles, using the expression "getting shtumped with the law" is considered crude and vulgar. Whatever this guy's yichus, they obviously have reasons to suspend him from formal involvement on ANY police matter in any jurisdiction until the questions are resolved.
