New York - Nonprofit Security Grants Available Soon‏

New York - At the beginning of November, the US Department of Homeland Security released information about the FY2009 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) to the states. New York State will have its application ready and available online on or about December 15th. Organizational applications must be submitted (through the online application system) by Friday, February, 20 2009. DHS will notify the states about the winning applications on or before September 30, 2009.

JCRC and UJA-Federation will host a training workshop to help organizations applying for the Nonprofit Homeland Security Grants on December 16, 2008, 11AM-1PM at UJA-Federation, 130 East 59th St. (corner Lexington Avenue) in Manhattan. The JCRC Security Grant web page is not responding to requests. Someone should
notify them ASAP.

The Homeland security grant is a wonderful thing, our Yeshiva was awarded 2 times from the DOHS. Please write the grant by yourself do not hire outside vendors they will not get you approved.

Is this a new grant or the same homeland security grant - were you able to hire a secutiry guard - what can you do with the money?
