Jordan serves as custodian of the Jerusalem compound where Muslims believe their prophet ascended to heaven. Jews revere it as the home of their biblical Temples.

The site has sparked tensions. During Jewish holidays, such as the current Passover, more Jews visit, including some religious zealots, referred to by Muslims as “settlers.”

Jordanian spokesman Mohammed Momani urged Israel on Sunday to keep out “settlers” and warned of consequences if tensions flare. Jordan and Israel have close security ties.

The Israeli prime minister’s office said Monday that “Israel is acting responsibly.”

Police said 204 Israelis visited Monday, along with 638 tourists. Police say three Israelis were escorted out for attempting to pray.

In the western world, telling Muslims they are persona non grata is considered the ultimate in bias even on the heels of deadly terrorist attacks carried out exclusively by muslims. So where is the international justification for barring Jews from the Har Habayis? I am not talking about the Jewish-Halacha standpoint, which forbids a Yid to go up to that Makom Kadosh. But the goyim are not the arbiters of this Halacha!

To stop the current intifada I suggest the Arabs be permitted by Israeli law to maim or arrest any Jew that ascends the Har Habayis. Such Jews have a din of a rodef and deserve it. And they should begin with Glick et al

It is sad Israel is a banana republic that does not own its own land, so other countries have a say on what is on or below the land. Is Israel a sovereign nation or not, or is Israel just renting the land from another country??

the palestinians call all jews ”settlers ” regardless from where the live ,as only the palestinians who have been there for 5000 years are entitled to have the land.Don’t forget that their ‘prophet’ flew there and back to mecca on his winged horse -al buraq- in one night What was the reason for the trip?,if there was no connection to our holy temple which they deny ever existed.
Israel has to remove jordan as the ”protector -custodian” of the temple mount.
