An Israeli soldier prepares to throw a stun grenade towards Palestinian journalists near the scene where a Palestinian woman and a man, who the Israeli military said tried to stab security forces, were shot dead by Israeli police near Qalandia checkpoint near the West Bank city of Ramallah April 27, 2016. REUTERS/Mohamad Torokman Jerusalem – Security forces shot and killed two young Palestinians, including a woman, who attempted to carry out a stabbing attack at a checkpoint on the outskirts of Jerusalem, Israeli police said Wednesday.

The pair approached security forces, and when they were ordered to stop, the woman pulled a knife out of her bag and waved it at an officer near her, police said. The forces opened fire, killing both Palestinians. Police said they found two knives on the body of the man as well.

The incident occurred at the Qalandia checkpoint, a main crossing point from the West Bank into Jerusalem.

It was the latest in a wave of violence that broke out last September. Since then, 28 Israelis and two Americans have been killed in stabbings and other attacks by Palestinian assailants. Nearly 200 Palestinians have also died, most of them said by Israel to have been attackers.

The violence has shown signs of slowing in recent weeks.

These soldiers must be tried at the minimum for manslaughter as they could have neutralized them without killing them, after all isn’t this the reason Azaria is in jail?

Why are you killing them? Don’t you understand that they’re “frustrated”?
