Brooklyn, NY – NYPD: Man Sought For Drawing Swastikas Around Brooklyn Neighborhood

    Brooklyn, NY – Police are looking for a man they say is responsible for drawing swastikas at five different locations in Marine Park earlier this week.

    On April 25 at about 4:20 a.m. the suspect — described as a white man — used a white marker to draw swastikas around the neighborhood, according to authorities.

    He allegedly drew the symbol on a garbage can cover and residential gate near Avenue S and Ryder Street; a traffic control box near Avenue S and East 38th Street; another garbage can cover near Avenue S and East 37th Street; and the front door of a residential building near East 35th Street and Avenue S.

    The NYPD has released a surveillance image of the suspect and describe him to be between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and was last seen wearing dark colored clothing and a dark colored backpack.

    Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

    The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
