The New York Police Department held a briefing at its headquarters today for hotels and other businesses.

It advised the security executives to train their staffs to be more suspicious of people loitering in lobbies and on guest floors, and of guests who book rooms for unusually long stays.

An NYPD analysis of the Mumbai attacks concludes that the commandos relied on “detailed surveillance of the targets,” and that they “knew the layouts of the hotels and where they were most vulnerable.”

The terroist have won again. Their main objective is not to kill but to place fear, it wont be long untill checking into a hotel will be like going to the airport.

you”ll have to arrive 2 hrs before you want to check into your you can’t bring any liquids aka toiletry, no razers (for the goyim), your going to have to be stripped searched and no shoes allowed. just wait and see

Next the terrorist will attack a mall cvs and will have to go through the same security measures as the airport just to go shopping.

They want you to rember them and fear them. everytime you stand on line in the airport security you think about them now anytime you check into a hotel youll be scared.

Mumbai and ny city have the similarity of being very large , target rich, undefended areas-ripe for the picking, as the civilain populace is Not trusted with weapons. Both cities are “excellent” examples of gun control . The only ones who could be counted on (other than law enforcement) to defend against terrorists in NYC would be street thugs and gangs (as they “magically” are Not affected by moronic gun control laws) Wouldn’t that be ironic if the city was saved by our own criminals!

#3: “Their main objective is not to kill but to place fear”?? says who?? they want us dead (C”V) or following their version of God’s will… I don’t think they will settle for, or have fear, as a PRIMARY purpose

I find it most interesting that all these details are put on the web for any potential terrorist to see. Oh, he says, the NY hotels are vulnerable? Really? I never thought of that, maybe that’ll be come my next goal!!!

I know we were very frustrated during the Mumbai attacks at not getting up to date news, but they kept saying “for security purposes” and we need to respect that. We were kept very well informed, as much as they could, but do you really think that terrorists don’t have access to the internet and the news?

Another brilliant coup by the NYPD and the media: tell THE WORLD exactly what your anti-terror strategy is… so the terrorists now know exactly what to avoid.

Pure genius. No wonder 19 punks with razor blades almost destroyed this country.

Perhaps the same liberal gun control advocates who have made it effectively impossible for law abiding citizens to defend themselves (Mayor Gloomberg is certainly one of these, as shown by his recent directive to the NYPD to tighten, rather than loosen gun-permit qualifications) can grandly declare all of NYC to be a so-called “gun-free zone”, complete with a big neon sign on the skuline showing a pistol inside a circle with a red slash through it. THAT will fix the terrorists — they will be so impressed that they will go somewhere else. Hey, being a “gun free-zone” certainly worked when it came to preventing massacres of unarmed people by lone crazies with guns at Virginia Tech, LAX and (back in the ’90s) on the Long Island Railroad. Oh, wait . . . er, NEVER MIND.
