Firefighting and Rescue Service representatives on site recommended that residents stay indoors and keep air conditioning units turned off to prevent further circulation of the hazard.

According to reports, some residents who were exposed to the material in the area reported being plagued by vomiting and a burning sensation in the eyes. They are being treated by MDA forces.

As further precaution, some roads were closed and light-rail accessibility was cut off to some neighborhoods presumed to be affected by the spill.

Police, along with the Firefighting and Rescue Service forces, were on site.

Forces rectified the situation close to noon, after successfully washing and clearing the streets of the hazmat. Residents were advised to return to normal activity.
