"Second i think the message of the song is something we should all stop & think what we can do to make a little change in the way we care for one another and in that zechus we will have Rachmai shamayim" said Reb Sheya.
2. Last week VIN News had a storyattributing a new song to Rabbi Grossman. We would like to bring to the attention of our readers
, that the song was composed by rabbi Shenker 15 years ago, not recently. We wish no ill will to Rav Grossman as he might be misquoted but we just need to set the record straight.

Rav Grossman song is not the same tune or words to the Reb Benzion Shenker's song.
If Rav Grossman says he composed it, (listen to the clip)then he did.
Kudos to VIN;

Is this why we put down on this world, to worship these music stars and their every move. Idol worship is what it is. Everyone should be mechazek via learning and davening not via concerts and listening to music

You are 100% correct, BZ Shenker sang it in Lashon Hakodesh, whereas YD Grossman sang it in Hebrew! I realize that there may be some bad blood between Grossman & some of the Modzitzer Chassidim, but does that give him permission to plagiarize something recorded many years ago - to that text - as his own new composition?

Music was always an integral part in jewish history. music is good for the mind and soul if balanced and used properly it can help u reach great hights! why did the levyim sing by the bais hamikdash? why do we sing shabbos zemiros? why do we have negunim... music is important but of course should not be your only focus in life. music can touch someone and make them do teshuva!! it can make people cry, laugh, make people happy... music is very powerful and should be used properly. We must steer ourselves and children from music that is not good for our neshamas b/c just like music can make people cry, laugh and do teshuva it can also cause people to be negative, stray from the right path, laugh and cry about the wrong things... Music is very important and powerful!!!
