Dinkins made the claim in response to a lawsuit filed Friday that says Dinkins left the scene after striking a bicycle deliveryman June 30.
The former Democratic mayor said in a statement Saturday he was driving his wife to the hospital when a man told him Dinkins’ car had been hit by a bicycle half a block away.
Dinkins says he later returned to the alleged accident scene but didn’t find anyone there. He says police interviewed him and inspected his car.
However, the lawyer for alleged victim Rodrigo Garcia says Dinkins’ car clipped Garcia’s bike, throwing him to the ground and breaking his ankle.
They’re all the same
He’s probably telling the truth. He wasn’t aware of much when he mayor either.
His handling of the crown heights riots was also a hit and run act
Why wasn’t he arrested for hit and run?
To #3- You’re absolutely correct! Dinkins and his police commissioner Les Brown, did nothing for three days and three nights, while Black mobs went on a rampage, and attacked not only Jews and Jewish homes and businesses, in Crown Heights in August, 1991, but other Blacks who lived in the area. Dinkins to this day, and to his dying day, swears that he never told the cops to look the other way. He, along with Les Brown and his mespucha Al Sharpton, have selective amnesia, of what occurred in Crown Heights. They are historical revisionists, who can’t handle the truth.
