United Nations – Obama Urges Israel End Occupation And Palestinians Accept Israel

Obama’s efforts to bring about an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement have failed over the nearly eight years he has been in the White House, with the latest push by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry collapsing in 2014.

U.S. officials have held out the possibility Obama could lay out the rough outlines of a deal – “parameters” in diplomatic parlance – after the Nov. 8 presidential election and before he leaves office in January, but many analysts doubt this would have much effect.

“Surely Israelis and Palestinians will be better off if Palestinians reject incitement and recognize the legitimacy of Israel …(and if) Israel recognizes that it cannot permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land,” Obama said.

Speaking at the General Assembly annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations for the last time as president, Obama also said Russia was trying to recover “lost glory” through force.

He warned Russia that if it “continues to interfere in the affairs of its neighbors, it may be popular at home, it may fuel nationalist fervor for a time, but over time it is also going to diminish its stature and make its borders less secure.”

Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula in 2014 after months of protests in Kiev ousted pro-Moscow Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.

On the international dispute over the South China Sea, Obama said: “A peaceful resolution of disputes offered by law will mean far greater stability then the militarization of a few rocks and reefs.”

China claims almost all of the South China Sea, through which ships carrying about $5 trillion in trade pass every year. Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam also have claims in the sea, which is also believed to be rich in energy resources and fish stocks.

In July, an arbitration court in The Hague said China’s claims to the waterway were invalid, in a case was brought by the Philippines. Beijing has refused to recognize the ruling.

Obummer – please get your historical facts right before you flap your tongue wildly. There is NO Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands. There are no Palestinians. End of history lesson. The only thing that really needs to end is your presidency.

Obama reffering to Israeli land captured in a defensive war as “occupation” is repulsive. Yet I’m more repulsed by liberal Jews who still support this Islam-loving anti-Semite. They are so blind.

I am never surprised. There are a few preconditions. And I am one-sided on that. You see, the preconditions that were imposed on Israel, with all of Obama’s arm twisting, were all fulfilled, but were not met with a single gesture of peace from the Muslims. They were met with terror, and lots of it. And Obama was one who never allowed Muslims to be accused of terror, even though they have cornered the market with a near monopoly on it. So, this fellow, America’s greatest mistake, is now talking about Israel making additional concessions. Well, my response, Mr. President, is that these savages must first abandon terror, close their tunnels, disband their military, and behave like civilized people. Yes, recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and any other preconditions Israel requests. And you, shut up. Stop defending the terrorists, and stop considering Israel aggressors. You know that’s a lie. If you believe it to be true, you are too immoral to occupy elected office.

Start with eliminating terror. That includes the schools that feed this steady diet to children. Then, we’ll talk.

Its a fact that we are hated all over the world especial by Muslims.

Having said, Zionist/Jews actually DO occupy land that does not belong to Jews
    .
Eretz Yisrael was given to Am Yisrael by Hashem with conditions as it states clearly in the Torah. We didn’t obey the conditions we were sent into exile as we say every Yom Tov “Because of our sins we were exiled from our Land”.
Therefore we have zero claim towards an Israel. THE only claim we have is to Hashem that he should send Moshicah.

The President’s statement called it as it is…the Palestinians (or Martians, or aschlochen…or whatever unique label any of you would choose…) need to publicly and unambiguously accept Israel’s existence and security…and the Israelis need to negotiate seriously on the future of the territories.

And it is an “occupation”…that’s not a value judgment, not a policy position, and not an anti-Israeli position. It’s simply a fact, and a clear status under all applicable law, no different than when the victorious WWII Allies occupied Germany and Japan.

You will have to excuse the fact that the larger world does not engage in foreign relations by theology…anyone’s theology…and as a religious minority, perhaps we should accept that with a bit of relief.

Vituperative name calling of those who disagree with one’s political positions is childish; it also assumes anyone not in agreement with you is an enemy…that is anti-democratic and dangerous.

This speech is the reason for the latest outbreak of violence by the palestinians against Jews. They were looking to show that there’s no peace untill they get what they want ,from the U.N.
