The Mayor is traveling with Chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia Congressman Gary Ackerman (D-NY) and NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly. The Mayor is also scheduled to meet with high-level officials, including Prime Minister Olmert. The Mayor plans to bel be in Ashkelon, and Sderot.
Spokesman Andrew Brent says the mayor “is going in order to show his support for Israel.”
that is realy nice
the only peshat to this trip is ONLY PUBLICITY what can he help there ????
Tzieschem L’Sholem! dont forget to take along all your personal luggage that you should stay there…maybe there you’ll be accepted with your brilliant ideas to help their economy…
I still wont give him my vote.
I smell an election coming up in NYC
This is a great example of Solidarity!
This is a true leader and a mentch to show such support at a time like this. Mr Mayor, have a safe trip and thanks for making us proud of you.
as much as i hate his policies to rip off more money and his other schemes; this is a very important time for people to offer solidarity to israel and make it a bit balanced in the despicable media to show that there are important supporters for the cause and urge for israel to defend itself!
Politician.
Thank you Mayer. Israel needs all the support it can get.
How many Arab residents are there in NYC ? They probably all hate him now. It was a courageous thing, when you are in charge of that so called big “melting pot”, Lucky we have him, here and now……….you wouldn’t hear this kind of support from just any Wash Room Attendant mayor.
The Arabs that hate him now, probably hated him before already. Although he doesn’t wear a Shtreimel, it’s no secret that he’s Jewish….
Personally I do not like Bloombag as a mayor, but I respect his business success.
Anyway, I’m glad he went and took Kelly with him. This is a difficult time for Israel, and furtunately the world is not completely condeming their actions.
As far as the other who said to say tehillim, I agree. My wife and I have been saying various tehillim that are appropriate for the situation.
so nice and sweet of Mayor Bloomberg, how about being nice and sweet to NYC and lower the taxes?
kol hakovod to the mayor a real Yid at heart he deservers all the credit he can get !!!!!! keep up the good work…….
Mayor Bloomberg is a fascist. However , the only thing I like about him is his fervent support for Israel.Thank you Mike Bloomberg for at least doing one thing correctly.
