Amran, Yemen - The children of Yemeni Jews in Raida district of Amran province were assaulted today by Yemeni Muslim students due to the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Some Jewish kids were injured, one seriously, when Muslim students threw stones at them in solidarity with the Palestinian kids in Gaza.
Zaher Kafra, Jewish, was seriously wounded and immediately taken to the Raida Hospital for treatment.
This took place one day after the authorities announced that preparations for relocating the Jewish Community in Amran to live in the capital Sana’a following of threats members of the community have recently received.
Jew Moshe Yaish was killed early last month by a former Yemeni pilot, who is now on trial.

I wish folks would stop saying things like anonymous -- if it were that easy to leave, they would. and what have you done to help them leave? raised monies? got in touch with American diplomats to see if we can get them refugee status so that they can make it here? got them passports? Do something instead of blaming the victims. Lobby. Daven. Raise funds. Don't make silly comments like this past one.

Sidenote: One of the interesting customs that the Jews of Yemen had - AND STILL HAVE - is to teach kids Torah around a single sefer on account of the fact that sforim used to be scarce in Yemen. Some older Yemenite Jews in Israel today still daven from a siddur upside down on account of the fact that they learnt to read that way. This picture is as if from another world.
Further side note: There are a few Yemeni Jews, BORN IN YEMEN, who live in New York, including a very small community (complete with shteible) in Staten Island.

Armed with what? Jelly beans, perhaps? How exactly to ordinary folks obtain real weaponry. I live in Florida, and can legally own most anything available on the world market. Not everyone has this right in the USA (and especially in foreign countries), remember that Totalitarian regimes immediately impose "gun control" (total, and complete ban on guns to ordinary citizens)

”
Yes very few Yemeni communities in the US who are still keeping the Yemenite tradition.
by the way, the community in staten island is very traditional but they were not born in Yemen. They were all born in the state of Israel. The rabbi (father) had a nursery school in Rosh Ha'ayin.

Will someone please knock on Israel's door and explain that now is the time to get our brothers and sisters the hell out of there???!!! Two big jets would get them all out in one day!!!
They have enough money to send goon squads to beat the religious Jews that they hate, maybe they can find enough money to get these victims out of Yemen!
Or, maybe the Israeli government doesn't like the color of the Yemeni Jews.

# 11 - A religious Jew is not supposed to speak like what you wrote - you don't write 'get the gehennom out of there'.
Additionally, your comment doesn't make sense. Their Satmar friends are telling them not to go to eretz hakodesh. And your comments make it sound like you are a Satmar/NK sympathizer. If you criticize the government in EY now, why do you want the Teimanim to go there then?
Please speak with derech eretz and logic in the future.

Israel is fighting for its existence. People or States who want the Israelis to the war in Gaza MUST guarantee its existence by actually opposing everyone who vows to the destruction of the Jewish State.
But it is a great wonder that the Israeli government is helping the Sri Lankan government and strangely along with the Muslim states to reduce the status of the Tamils in Sri Lanka from one of "citizen" to "slave". How is it "justified"?
Israeli government has "very friendly" ties with countries such as India and Sri Lanka that are "too friendly" with the States that are bent on the destruction of Israel including Hamas. Any comment?

“ you people in America think you're so safe? ”
No humans are safe in any part of the world as long as "hatred" is preached by the so-called "leaders", the power hungry-politicians who wants everything he can lay his hands on.
Even then there is no guarantee that humans are safe because "greediness" has no limits.

I'm a Yemeni Muslim and a Muslim by birth. I don’t really practice Islam or let it be my standards to judge people. Just a note: Yemen got independent in 1962 so most of the Yemenites are uneducated. Yemen’s president doesn’t even have 1st grade education. They are based in greed and plain ignorance. I was a Yemeni citizen but refused to live there. In Yemen; if a person is not rich, he or she are existing not living. God bless the USA. I sure pray that Yemenite Jewish can live in peace and not be forced to leave their home land. They have every right to live there if they wish too. They're still my brothers and sisters, They're Yemenites for life!
