A rally between Pro Israel and Pro Palestine has turned into a fistfight and police had to arrest a few participants
Miami, FL - As violence continues in Gaza, a large pro-Israel rally was held Sunday in Miami Beach.

Miami Beach police said more than a thousand people gathered to demonstrate in a parking lot between the Holocaust Memorial and the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Demonstrators said the time has come for Israel and the U.S. to support a decisive effort to stop Hamas. Many said they want Israel to destroy Hamas.

The rally was organized by the group Shalom International. The group said it is planning several more protests around Florida.

The rally's organizer, Bob Kunst said "We've got to finally put our foot forward to stop terrorism around the world, so this message is as much for the Obama presidency as anybody not to switch course, you have to go after the very people who want to kill us."

Who started the fight? Sounds to me that the police arrested some from both sides just to show "fairness" If the one side started the fighting ( Israeli, or the Palestinians), that's where the arrests should have been made. I hope there is good solid video available. We are a nation of laws- both sides have equal rights to voice their opinions, just keep your hands to yourself.

My chaver and I went to the rally at the Miami Beach Convention Center/Holocaust Memorial parking lot. There were only Yidden there becuase the Palestinians shifted their rally to the Israel Consulate in Downtown Miami, fifteen minutes south. The Miami Beach rally was excellent and filled with achdus and shirim. There were lots of young and old Yidden. It was so hot that we were so dehydrated we went to lunch and then were too tired to go to the downtown rally where all the action was. I am sure there will be more chances next week. The arabs are becomeing very active so I am sure they will hold more protests and now there will be lots interest. Yeah !!! We will definately go and protest there and call the arabs out for sure. May HKBH give Israel strength and bless Israel with Peace !!! Amen ! The Guardian of Israel doesn't slumber or sleep !!! Remember that...

The best way to intimidate these pro terrorist punks and show offs (oh look how religious I am to help Islam) and punks, is to take them on with cameras. Yes, cameras!
Every time there is a pro Palestinian, or pro Hamas, or pro terrorism group, the Jewish people show up with video cameras and regular cameras and we just take photos and videos all the time. Later, we will gather the shots and keep a record of who shows up where, so we know exactly who is doing this. THey act like they don't care but hundreds of pictures and video will definitely bother them plenty. The police and OTHER agencies will want very much to look over the pictures we will present them with. They will actually thank us a lot!

So, please allow me to repeat this...we show up armed with cameras for photos, and cameras for videos, not as a scare tactic, but for real, and later we give copies of the pics to the right people for the right reasons. Thank you.

In New York on Shabbos no less, there were Neturei Karta members protesting along with Arabs, holding onto signs. I guess some things are more important than Shabbos.

Yeah, I heard there was something wrong with the Judaism of Dovid Hamelech. Mistam he was a tzioni. He lived in Isreal, fought in the army of Shaul Hamelech, and he even used a MOGEN DOVID like they have on the tzioni flag.

And don't get me started on that no good son of his and that "sefer" shir hashirim he wrote.

The Chashmonaim FOUGHT TO VICTORY against the syrian-greeks; Dovid Hamelech, Moshe Rabeinu, Yehoshua, Shimshon Hagibor -- all fought (when necessary). So did Shimon and Levi -- to stick up for their Sister Dina and Avraham to save Lot. People REALLY need to learn more Nach-which are FULL of war stories- AND STOP perpetuating the STEREOTYPE of the Ghetto Jew who cannot fight C"V. GO ISRAEL!!!!!

No where does it say not to protect oneself - Judaism does not have a concept of turn the other cheek. And the Gmara is clear - we are NOT to actively attack non-jews - it is a mistranslation to accept that we should not defend ourselves.
If someone comes to kill you - you are obliged to try and kill him!!!

We have to get our elected officials to investigate the rally organizers if they are supporting terror illigaly ie funding terror organizations.

Durring the crownhights riots the chabad rebbe told told us to focus on our strength of complaining to officials rather than using our hands. He quated the posuk "hacol col yakov, vhayodayim yidai Eisov".

Having been at both rallies, let me just say, organization is important to stay on track. Those that want to pursue their own agenda and let the other side "aggessive " behavior come out, dont use us to pursue your outcomes! The other side seems to be getting more media savey. This time they had several large American flags. There also was a clergy like individual going among them to keep them calm, when tensions would flair.I was grateful the media concentrated on their agressivness. We send a loud statement by showing up in numbers. Dont scare our members away by making this into, lets let it show how agressive they can be, type of rally. As I saw in the City of Miami, you can not count on the police to be pro active. There was more they could have done to keep things from escalating. But that is another topic. We just cant count on that and have to have a common agenda, not a rally to bring out the "worst" in the other side. We are there to make a statement, show our support of Israel, America, and our fight against the "beasts". Stand strong, stand united, behave in a way that shows our inherent goodness, have Hashem on our side, and may Israel complete its mission soon and all of its citizens live a life of calm.

I was there. The Palestinian supporters kept crossing the street to start with the Israeli supporters. Initially the police simply escorted them back. The police would not allow the Israeli supporters to so much as set foot in the street. The Palestinian supporters became more and more violent each time they came over. All Israel supporters were acting on the defense including my 69 year old father who was called a "fucking Jew", given the finger and spat at by a drive by. When he slapped the man, HE was arrested and the anti-semite was allowed to press charges. The biased behavior of the Miami Police was apparent until the Palestinian supporters began attacking them as well! A little taste of what Israelis go through daily...

Unfortunately if we advocate the denial of free speech for one group, it will eventually be used only against Jews. That's what happens when Jews rely on secular governmants and secular laws. Jews have one protector. If we forget about him, the entire Israeli army cannot help us. If you want proof, go to Ashkelon.

Don' try to make them look like shkutzim. Just for the record, they usually have mechitzas (police barricades) around them. The barracides are ten tefuchim tall and the signs are not muktsa so from a Shabbos point of view it was not assur. Political acumen is another story....
