Williamsburg – City Agree on Fund To Help Business

    1

Williamsburg – The city announced the release of the Greenpoint-Williamsburg Industrial Fund, a groundbreaking initiative which will dedicate $4 million to industrial job retention and creation in the Greenpoint-Williamsburg community.
The $4 million fund was created as a result of the negotiation between the City Council and the Bloomberg Administration during the re-zoning of Greenpoint-Williamsburg in May 2005. It will provide direct assistance to manufacturing and industrial firms in the form of relocation grants, pre-development expenses, energy cost savings, enhanced production techniques, infrastructure improvements and other special projects.
