Tbilisi, Georgia - Israeli resident Simon Shashaushvili has been sentenced to preliminary detention. Tbilisi City court has discussed detention of the citizen of Israel suspected of committing premeditated murder.

According to preliminary investigation, Simon Shashuashvili arrived in Tbilisi on January 5, 2009 in order to commit a premeditated murder of Lia Zonenashvili and her sons named Davit Gur and Mikheil Gur. He was trying to shadow them and hired a car for that purpose; he was also trying to buy a firearm with muffler. He also had an alternative plan, according to which he intended to attack the Gur brothers with electric shock and cold arms in case, if he would not be able to buy a firearm. The citizen of Israel, Ronen Gur, who is a stepson of Lia Zonenashvili has ordered the murder plan to Simon Shashaushvili.

Ronen Gur is a son of Ephraim Gur, the ex-MP of the Knesset. The purpose of ordering the murder was to control father’s assets. And the killer detained by Georgian law enforcers has been proved to be the client`s cousin and Ephraim Gur`s nephew.
