EPAWashington – Outgoing CIA Director John Brennan has said it would be the “height of folly” for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to tear up Washington’s deal with Tehran because it would make it more likely that Iran and others would acquire nuclear weapons.

“It could lead to a weapons program inside of Iran that could lead other states in the region to embark on their own programs,” Brennan said in an interview with the BBC aired on Wednesday.

“So I think it would be the height of folly if the next administration were to tear up that agreement.”

Brennan also said that in dealing with the Syrian crisis, Trump should be cautious in trying to work with Russia.

“I hope there is going to be an improvement in relations between Washington and Moscow,” he said.

“President-elect Trump and the new administration need to be wary of Russian promises. Russian promises in my mind have not given us what it is that they have pledged.”

The outgoing Obama administration (thank goodness for that) is still bending over backwards trying to undermine Mr. Trump, as they know he will accomplish worlds more than Obama and co. not only could do, but on the contrary, RUINED our standing in the world, increased terrorism with his policies, and coddled terrorist regimes instead of showing an iron fist. Mr. Trump will show strength, regain respect for our country, and make Obama look like the weakest president that we ever had, which he is.

Meanwhile, back at the WH, Obama gets his security briefings daily, and has been informed about the numerous violations that Iran has already accumulated. But US must uphold our end of the bargain. The complete absence of integrity and honesty that afflicts the WH is mind boggling. We are fortunate to be watching him leave. Even if Trump does not shred the deal, but he will be open about its enforcement and the tragic extent to which the Iranians have thumbed their noses at US. He does not need to tear it up, the Iranians already broke it.
