Border Police forces, Israel Police forces, observers and volunteer groups started looking for Yaakov Dov Srot, focusing their search efforts on the immediate vicinity of his neighborhood.

Srot, who according to police is autistic, got off a bus Sunday at the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem and abruptly took off running, quickly disappearing from his father’s sight. On Monday morning, he was found by Border Police walking aimlessly in an open area. He was reported in good condition and has been reunited with his family.

Why is it necessary to say “ultra orthodox”?

The ultra orthodox in my neighborhood in Ramapo allow 3-6 year old kids to walk to shul without any adults. We have no side walks.
How can any parent allow this? ??? It’s about a 4 block walk at least.

B”H this child was found safe. If he is not wearing a medical alert bracelet I respectfully suggest his parents get one him. They would write their phone number and Autistic on it. Actually, it is a good idea for children/adults with communication and/or mobility issues to wear medical alert bracelets or a GSP ankle bracelet so keep track of them. Thank you to all the professional and lay people who searched for this little boy.
