New York – Donald Trump didn’t win the presidential election, Democrats lost by not paying enough attention to a fearful middle class, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told an audience at a New York City fundraiser.

In remarks Tuesday night about the long presidential campaign and the mood of the nation, the Democratic governor said the race gave voice to a “frightening” amount of fear, anger and hate.
“There is a lesson in what happened in the election, and I believe when you get knocked on your tuchus, you should at least learn the lesson of what happened,” he said. “… I don’t believe that Trump won. I believe that we lost that election.”
He said New York state now must stand up against a “tide of negativity” and confront discrimination and intolerance.
“If you want to make America strong again then remember what made America strong in the first place,” he said. “It’s tolerance. It’s brotherhood. It’s acceptance. It’s community. That is the way forward.”
Cuomo has been mentioned as a possible White House contender in 2020 but has said he is focused on winning a third term in 2018.
Tuesday’s fundraiser was held on Cuomo’s 59th birthday.

All elections involve a winner and a loser. The stupidity of Cuomo’s statement is extreme. I can’t stand him or his policies, but i did think he was brighter than this.
In reality, Hillary became the elite she originally professed to detest. She got there by swindling, lying, and cheating. Pay for play, the huge speaking fees, the staggering number of murders made to look like accidents and suicides, and all the rest. Now that she became wealthy, she played only for money. The welfare of the common citizen was not even in her playbook. All lawyers are liars, and those who enter politics just raise dishonesty to new heights. Hillary outdid everybody else in that department. I hope she silences her voice in anything even remotely connected to politics, forever. And, Mr. Cuomo – if you have any inclinations to be similar to Obama or Hillary, please retire.
