Brooklyn, NY – Fatal Bensonhurst Collision Claims Life Of Passenger In Livery Cab

    Police told VIN News that the head on collision took place this morning at 3:17 AM on Avenue P near W. 2nd Street and involved a livery cab. Both drivers and the passenger in the cab were taken the hospital, the passenger who has been identified as Mr. Abraham Shmailov from brooklyn, was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The livery cab, a Toyota Camry owned by the Kings Highway cab company hit several parked cars, reported The Daily News. The drivers of both cars were uninjured and released from the hospital.

    Residents in the area said that speeding is often a problem and accidents occur frequently.

    “I never park my car over here,” said one resident who declined to give his name. “This is a bad corner.”

    A dispatcher at Kings Highway said that no information was available about the accident at this time.

    Police said, that an individual was in custody and charges are pending.
