Jerusalem - 103-year-old Lithuanian Haredi Leader Released From Hospital
Jerusalem - The leading rabbi of the Lithuanian, hareidi world, Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman of Bnei Brak was was released today from the hospital after suffering from pneumonia and difficulty in breathing.
The 103 year old Rabbi, and The leader of the party “United Torah Judaism” was hospitalized last week.
In recent days there has been considerable improvement in the medical condition and this morning, after a series of tests and doctor’s consultation, it was decided to release him to his home.
Since the death of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv in 2012, Rabbi Steinman is widely regarded as the leader of the generation (the “Gadol Hador”) of the Lithuanian world.
While in the hospital senior leadership called ultra-Orthodox rabbis to pray for his recovery and all over the country, and the world held many prayers for his recovery.
