New York – President-elect Donald Trump says he’ll ask Congress to investigate leaks to the media on U.S. intelligence alleging Russia meddled in last year’s election by hacking Democratic emails.

Less than an hour before he was to be briefed Friday by the directors of the FBI and CIA and the Director of National Intelligence on their findings, Trump tweeted that he was “asking the chairs of the House and Senate committees to investigate top secret intelligence shared with NBC prior to me seeing it.”
NBC aired a report Thursday that said the briefing would identify Russian actors involved in the hacking of the Democratic National Committee.
Several news outlets carried stories on Thursday evening on a U.S. intelligence report on Russian efforts to influence American presidential election. The report was delivered to President Barack Obama earlier in the day.
Trump has been deeply skeptical of the intelligence community’s findings on Russia, suggesting that it was being used to de-legitimize his election.
The White House says it was not the source of a report leaked to NBC on U.S. intelligence alleging Russia interfered in the presidential election.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest is pushing back against President-elect Donald Trump’s request for Congress to investigate “top secret intelligence” shared with NBC.
He notes that two days ago, Trump tweeted a “steadfast defense of the integrity” of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Earnest called Assange “the leading purveyor” of the improper release of classified material.
Earnest says Trump’s tweet “leads me to conclude that his concerns are about something other than protecting classified information.”
It’s getting bona fide scary, if the President-elect really believes all he is saying exonerating the Russians, praising Assange and excoriating American intelligence agencies…and if during the campaign he really believed it when he said he knows more about ISIS than do our Generals.
Yet, I bet those of you who drink the Trump Kool-Aid will find nothing to worry about. May Heaven help us.
Our intelligence services have done some very unintelligent things, if you haven’t noticed. They said Saddam Hussein had WMD. He didn’t. They lied about Jonathan Pollard. They missed and messed up on Benghazi. They also meddled with the Israeli elections. And they work for the guy that said “I’ll give you transparent government on C-Span” (never happened). “You can keep your doctor – you can keep your health plan!” (didn’t happen) As my old grannie used to admonish, “Just because some fella in a suit says it don’t make it so.” I don’t believe this tripe about Russia for a minute. And even if it were true – so what now? Why aren’t we screaming about the buffoonery of HilLIARy, Podesta, Mills, Huma, Sheryl Mills et al? They conspired and colluded to deceive and mislead the America electorate. Talk about that!
Trumpf prepared for this critical mtg by tweeting out a rant against rival Arnold Shvartzanoggin about low ratings on his reality TV show. Businesses across America are starting pools on when Trumpie will resign or be impeached. The 23 million losing health insurance hope soon.
I think cooler heads will prevail and agent orange will be out of his new job in no time.
Agent Orange is a tool of the radical Christian right. He is a distraction while the real damage is done by our new Congress.
